This is great! Why not turn it into a Desktop app via Electron or a similar solution? Since it stores everything as plain text files a desktop app would be great because people could just download it and use it standalone (easier than docker + browser) and sync files between machines using some cloud service or Synching.

freedns.afraid.org , www.duckdns.org , dynv6.com , free-ddns.com , ydns.io

Personally I always pick and recommend the first one as it has been reliable for ever. The second one is kind of the new kid on the block (but for a few years now) and the others may be commercial entities with other lines of bussines.

CD/DVD any cheap 30€ drive should work. If you want something serious you can buy an internal bluray drive like this one and some case adapter from sata to USB and use it that way.

There’s just not enough of a reason to change things in the us now since the refrigeration method is already in place and switching would cost more up front.

Cutting on electricity and washing costs?

Here’s the thing, I was able to request one and never got it. Maybe they are simply ignoring new requests, who knows. Other users already replied to your question.

@iturnedintoanewt and @JeyNessuno register on MacBB and search for Office 2021 it will provide you with everything you need.

It boils down to downloading Office from Microsoft itself and using a Volume serializer (also provided by MS to big companies) that will add a valid and permanently activated license to Office and updates work without issues as all. Microsoft doesn’t care much about Office for Mac piracy there isn’t a KSM protection and licensing scheme like under Windows.

You don’t need to buy a domain for that. There are plenty free dynamic DNS options that will give you a free subdomain that will work perfectly fine for that.

TCB13 , to linux in Distro hoppers, what's always on your install list when you've finished setup and logged in for the first time?
@TCB13@lemmy.world avatar

Step 1: install Debian 12 today, Step 2: upgrade to Debian 13 when available, then Debian 14, Debian 15 and so on… that’s the only hopping one should.
