Thinking of those two clowns at the hardware store, clearly following me around, very unsubtly acting like they were sure i was there to shoplift. They kept asking what i was looking (which was actually non specific christmas gifts) so I started throwing out meth ingredients, phosphorous, ammonia, neo citran daytime, sodium hydroxide, caustic soda, lye…I know that went right over their heads because they found me a gallon of pure crystal form dry lye. Anyways, she bagged half the stuff up without ringing it through. I’m sure i started a rumour in town, when they told their husbands bout the big biker looking dude asking for obscure chemicals. Took the lye though, that’s stuffs hard to find these days.

Sagifurius ,

I have a freezer from 1953, works fine. It’s appliances made after @2000 that shit the bed in 5 years or less. No, it’s not survivorship bias, there’s a certain time period you don’t see anything survived from.

Sagifurius ,

appliances

Sagifurius ,

No, it’s not. You should see a bunch of appliances from that era like you do older eras, but they’re just gone. My 53 fridge i bought last year, i was so happy when it turned on again. Moving them at that age is risky as hell. but I have ten fridges and 6 freezers i use to run my small town restaurant. I’ve paid close attention to the used market, I’m not just blowing random horseshit. Commercial grade is a different story. but wasn;t what I was talking about.

nah dude. You put as much money as possible back into the business, instead of paying it in income tax. When you’re small, you basically want to make sure your net profit is 1 dollar end of fiscal year. When you’re big enough, then ok, show a profit. pay your tax. Those better accountants you can now afford, they’re a writ off too though. I own a bar, place doesn’t make any money, all the bills are paid though, pay a lot in federal and provincial sales taxes. It’s a different mentality. You just get used to it being ok not to show or have much a profit, because the business pays all your bills, you’re almost like an old subsistence model where you might handle lots of cash, but you never keep much because of myriad taxes and expenses, but it doesn’t really matter, the heats on and there’s always food in the fridge.

Sagifurius ,

How much is in your bank account? If it’s any substantial amount, you’re a hypocrite. If not, why aren’t you trying to fix that instead of whining.

Sagifurius ,

What a fucking surprise it is to me you don’t want to answer. I’m thinking you have money.

Sagifurius ,

Why do you hate Jews?

Sagifurius ,

The answer didn’t matter, because of the philosophy you espoused. You are the architect.

Sagifurius ,

It’s really bizarre the cops and bureaucrats apparently get to decide law to this extent.

Sagifurius ,

Yeah the main trade off is federal organizations have become so determinate that pretty soon, and it’s come close already, they’re just gonna support a dictator enable their internal politics.

Sagifurius ,

You’ve never talked to a cop.

Sagifurius ,

good. Enforcement should not decide law. that is a clear conflict of interest, in their favor. For an extreme example, you absolutely don’t want a police officer deciding citizen’s rights.

Sagifurius ,

Doesn’t matter, that was just an example. People get “institutionalized” in both government and corporate positions, the difference is the corporate ones have little power over the general public, next thing you know you have government representatives running around trying to make peoples lives hell for making clotted cream. If that sounds like a weird example, it is, definitely.

Sagifurius ,

Damn that’s a big strawman

Sagifurius ,

Which is why you execute them immediately, not 20-30 years later. I don’t want to hear about innocent people in jail that long, I don’t even want to hear about guilty people in jail very long. Just kill em and move on regardless, it’s really less cruel.

Sagifurius ,

Why do you people present this is as an answer to the previous statement? EVERYONE knows this at this point, it doesn’t change thee previous statement in the slightest. It’s like when people smugly respond “that’s not how free speech works”…no, not according to everyone who prefers to limit it, it ain’t. You’re rebutting someone’s principles with regulations made by people don’t care for that specific philosophy and saying more about yourself than you think.

Sagifurius ,

That’s right. Nothing is a human right. Many humans have rights outlined in their countries constitutions but even those are easily stomped on with usually little consequence

Sagifurius ,

“This shit” is a sign you need to go back to school

Sagifurius ,

I’m just saying what is. If you want what I think should be, I’m a non Randian libertarian. Big on personal responsibility and the risk of consequences and consequences of risk, less on being a whiny bitch about everything.

Sagifurius ,

You ain’t never learned to just keep that there mouth shut bout how some people make themselves easily understood?

Sagifurius ,

Just import a couple percent of your population a year from India to work shit jobs and pay taxes while threatening the existing cultures like a fuckwit frenchman up in canada did.

Sagifurius ,

How does giving everyone a UBI solve that we can’t afford to pay the old pensions now? Gonna tax the UBI to pay for it?

Sagifurius ,

that’s called “crippling national debt”

Sagifurius ,

Yeah…I’m not American. “Works wonders everywhere it’s been tried” is a bit of an exaggeration, I’ve seen how this sort of thing goes.

Sagifurius ,

You should read up on the ramifications of what amounted to an UBI test run in Canada over Covid. Phrases like “sold our future” appear too often.

Sagifurius ,

Of course you’d deny the results of the biggest practical “test run”, and point to the small scale feasibility experiments. Why am I not surprised?

Sagifurius ,

I’ve looked that structure up before, it only worked if you paid yourself. They just plowed all the money straight back into business expenses or acquisition.

Sagifurius ,

Well, I’ll give you this. Most communists don’t actually admit they want to drag everyone down to their level. The honesty is refreshing. That’s not sarcasm, this is rare as hell.

Sagifurius ,

You guys are still spreading this misinformation? Like two years ago know we’ve known the vaccines do not prevent transmission, it’s not protecting the immunocompromised at all.

Sagifurius ,

So much for “trust the science”. You’re blowing as much bullshit as the anti vaxxers here

If Trump and Biden both died today, what would happen?

Imagine the following scenario: On the 9th of January 2024 in the morning we wake up to news that President of the USA Joe Biden suffered a stroke and died in White House. The administration confirms that the death was entirely natural and no third party contributed to it. Even before the news reach all TV stations another one...

Sagifurius ,

late 2019 it was on the radio about a flu in China. I remember christmas eve 2019, talking with the guys at the parts counter about all this, wondering if they would close the border, the date is clear in my memory becuase i needed an important vehicle part in order to get home for christmas. They did, a couple months after the flu arrived the following year. I was so fucking mad that they didn’t do a hard January closure, instead of a half assed patial closure 6 months late that literally solved nothing, prevented nothing, angered and inconvenienced people in two neighbouring countries that both had the fucking flu while thousands upon thousands of “essential” people just carried on. The whole thing was quite literally fucking retarded. Later there was proof it was in Italy early summer 2019, that’s not a theory. Samples from water treatment plants.

Sagifurius ,

Brown bears can absolutely climb trees, but at a certain size they have trouble climbing bare trunks. Any sturdy branches they’re going up.

Israel is starving Gaza (www.btselem.org)

Israel forces aid organizations to purchase food from Egypt and prevents them from buying it in Israel, which would allow for a more efficient and rapid transfer of goods. Israel also prohibits the private sector in Gaza from purchasing food, which could significantly increase supply. Although Israel recently allowed trucks in...

Sagifurius ,

Yeah, so trump didn’t support or cause a genocide when he literally had the ability. His track record for violence is strikingly less than the average presidents. Biden has been vice president and president for some straight up heinous shit, intentionally destabilizing entire countries.

Sagifurius ,

And they say the “right” is into conspiracy theories. “He’s a fucking moron, but look at all this shit that mastermind nearly pulled off”

Cops ripped for arresting reporter trying to ask Chrystia Freeland questions (torontosun.com)

Y’know, assault is generally defined as causing a person to fear for their safety. What these cops were doing was absolutely assault, bumping into someone’s shoulder is not. Plus it kinda looks like a football play the aide, Freeland and the cop were playing.

Sagifurius OP ,

Said the guy who’s first line was “But Harper” when nobody was talking ideology other than fascist cop methodology

Sagifurius OP ,

Doesn’t matter either, that article itself wasn’t showing any signs. Unless he thinks it wasn’t newsworthy, which definitely would show someone’s got a bias.

Sagifurius OP ,

Had a microphone and a cameraman, asking questions, in a public space, of a politician. Sounds like reporter to me, not harassment. What the cop did is though. But why should you care? Nothing at all to every worry about if it’s only the civil liberties of people you disagree with get trampled, there’s not been cautionary tales about the results or nothing. Honestly, maybe you should “brush up on the Charter”, but i don’t think you give a shit about it. Fucking thing has so many loopholes and exceptions to personal rights anyways, it’s never much too help.

Sagifurius OP , (edited )

I guess Harper is the one prevented me from sharing this article on Facebook? Aside from that, of course they have a Pierre quote, he’s the leader of the opposition. What I meant was, no one in this thread was making in about left or right till “BUT HAARPER” showed up. Like you expect me to say this shit is OK cause Harper did it? I don’t, I remember being pissed at his shit too.

Sagifurius OP ,

That’s great. Now watch the video in the article

Sagifurius OP ,

That’s another video of him being arrested for absolutely no good reason, he was shoved just like this time. Got any more fit this pattern?

Sagifurius OP ,

Did you really post THAT video to change my mind? Did you not watch it first? (I was curious if there were more because it might show a pattern of harassment of this man by the police. )

Sagifurius OP ,

Yeah you really aren’t doing what you think you’re doing here.

Sagifurius ,

it was a guaranteed amount of income monthly for those chose not to work. “But that wasn’t real UBI” fucking whatever.

Sagifurius ,

No, the Canadian CERB payout was basically structured and set up just like a UBI. You could get it even if you were capable of working, I could have had it too, simply by stating I was uncomfortable keeping working under the circumstances (May have been less true for me personally, I was “essential service”). People on welfare just stayed on welfare.

Sagifurius , (edited )

Every proposal for UBI test projects I have seen, sets UBI as a failsafe cutoff, a guaranteed income, not a provided income. This interpretation of how it would work is ridiculously worse for the economy than the idea I thought I was arguing against.

Sagifurius ,

well yknow, socialism in theory vs the actual logistics when the government gives it a spin.
