PunchingWood , to games in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Preview: Purest Evolution of a Stellar RPG

Well like I said, there are a lot of alternative games out there that are suited to a more casual crowd. It’s good that developers still make games like Kingdom Come and Baldur’s Gate to provide for players looking for more depth, immersive and engaging content.

Also, turn-based games are timeless, just like many other genres that have been around for 30+ years. I know a bunch of people that would never touched these kind of games and got completely hooked on BG3 anyway. Even myself that was never really into these kind of RPGs and tried Divinity games before, BG3 was absolutely stellar. It’s one of those games that set a new standard many others could learn from these days.

Then the game is just not for you.

I quite enjoy the amount of details going into games like this, same with Baldur’s Gate 3 being so insanely detailed. It really shows the passion of the developers for the games they’re working on.

There are so many more alternative and simpler role-playing games out there that are more straight to the point, like Elder Scrolls.

What he really meant to say was that he shilled out for the bags of money

I might hope it’s not because of the same reason Bethesda locked their framerates, because their entire game’s physics and other stuff would break when you unlocked it. I assume it’s not, if it’s only locked on Xbox, which then would mean that the console is just weak.

Just because 30FPS has been a standard on consoles for so long doesn’t mean it should stop there.

There’s no reason to not advance if they got the opportunity to do so, the entire gaming industry benefits from it.

Xbox is just not capable of handling the game at higher framerates, that has nothing to do with console wars or whatever, it’s just the limitation of the hardware and it being an underwhelming console in general.

It’s a first-person, single-player game, you don’t necessarily need that 60 frames

These people shouldn’t be allowed to work in game development.

Just grow a fucking pair and say that the Xbox isn’t powerful enough to run it at anything beyond that.

One of the few games I ever 100% completed, along with Jedi Survivor and Spider-Man 👌

PunchingWood , to games in Mafia: The Old Country will offer voice acting in Sicilian

One recent example that comes to mind from recently is a scene in Oppenheimer where apparently there’s a bit of Dutch during a lecture, but nobody can really tell what they’re even saying lol

PunchingWood , to games in PC Features for Dragon Age: The Veilguard

It’s a little bit annoying that a lot of games are starting to heavily rely on frame generation to “fix” the performance for them.

I guess it’s supposed to offset the impact of ray tracing stuff, because it obviously eats a lot of the GPU power, but honestly this game doesn’t feel like it should be demanding that much because it’s visually alright, nothing mindblowing.

I will probably give it a shot though, I enjoyed the last Dragon Age but never finished it. I got a feeling this might end up similar for me.

PunchingWood , to games in Mafia: The Old Country will offer voice acting in Sicilian

Lol I can imagine, it’s often the same with shows and movies trying to do Dutch and then it ends up being the most incomprehensible and cringe attempt with an insane accent.

Hopefully they just hire legit Sicilians to do the voice acting. Otherwise they might just as well not bother.

PunchingWood , to gaming in Guild Wars 2: Janthir Wilds Launches Today! – GuildWars2.com

I wish they updated some of the visuals like other MMOs often do after many years. I like GW2 and gameplay still works well, but it looks so dated compared to other MMOs that refreshed most of their stuff.

PunchingWood , to games in inZOI - Exclusive Gameplay Trailer

The last game that comes to mind is Baldur’s Gate 3, which had very good animations and highly detailed characters.

But I think this game might go above and beyond that. Not my type of game, but it looks very good.

PunchingWood , to games in Can anyone suggest some good co-op games for two people?

For crafting/exploration/survival I’d recommend Valheim. Don’t judge it by its looks, the game is insanely fun with friends.

PunchingWood , (edited ) to games in Black Myth: Wukong studio requests influencers not include "feminist propaganda" or Covid-19 references in coverage

That’s an extremely oversimplified and overexaggerated comparison of someone comitting war crimes versus misogyny.

Supporting the game has nothing to do with it, just because people enjoy the game because it’s a good game doesn’t mean they support misogyny, same goes for the many developers that worked on the game.

It also doesn’t explain the other stuff they requested to not mention in game coverage, all of which seem to have nothing to do with the actual game.

You are judging the entire team of probably 100+ developers by one man’s actions and act like everyone that supports the game supports war crimes. That’s a batshit insane take.
