It is a reliable warning sign tha list was the work of a mundane when the title uses "sci-fi." No serious sf enthusiast calls it that.

I mean, where are Pohl, Niven, Del Rey, Silverberg, Brin, Pournelle, van Vogt, McCaffrey, Bujold, Gaiman, Moorcock, Norton, Tiptree? The list seems to reflect the compilers' belief that social consciousness is dominant parameter. A list of books that score well on that could be useful. But these are simply not the best "of all time."
