“Forward the Foundation” by Isaac Asimov

And with this, I have completed my decades-long journey through the . I started back in the ‘80’s. I remember being fascinated by , and enjoying . But, for reasons lost in time, I never finished F&E. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I finally decided to return to the series, restarting from the beginning. Now, it is done.

@mattmaison @bookstodon I read the 2001 series many Moons ago (2001, 2010, 2061, 3001). And I read “The Sentinel” (an anthology of some of his short stories), a few years back. I’m overdue to finally check out some of his other works

@suelli @bookstodon Thanks, I agree. I Actually read Foundation and F&E years ago, but for reasons I don’t remember, stopped. Last year, I restarted the series at Foundation, and have now read everything except the two “prequels.” Figured I might as well check them out.

Lsquare28 OP ,
@Lsquare28@mstdn.social avatar

@suelli @bookstodon Yeah, I remember starting the original trilogy decades ago, and really enjoying it. But for reasons lost over the passage of time, I stopped during the Mule storyline, and never went back. Fast forward to last year, when I restarted at Foundation, and read the trilogy plus the two sequels. I watched the first season of the TV series, and my reaction was “meh.” Not bad, but not special.
