There's a special circle of hell for sinners who write personal notes in library books. Even in pencil. Especially if incoherent.📚💙 @bookstodon

Years ago, I sometimes found bound volumes of journals with articles cut out at the binding with a razor blade.

The Myth of Sisyphus, and Other Essays by Albert Camus
https://ramblingreaders.org/book/104510/s/the-myth-of-sisyphus-and-other-essays

"There is but one truly serious philosophical problem and that is suicide." May be the best opening line in any philosophical anything.
I always knew I was a bit absurd, but now I'm starting to think I am an amateur absurdist... 😂

I just finished reading The Myth of Sisyphus a week or two ago. I found it a fairly difficult but worthwhile read. Absurdism seems to fit with my outlook on life as a longterm caregiver for permanently disabled family members: I’ll just keep doing it one day at a time until the end.

So here is a question to the @bookstodon community: what is the best book you have read this year?

How did my comrades understand that they're autistic?

How old were you?

@holyramenempire @theautisticcoach @actuallyautistic You share an interesting and important perspective. Some caregivers for persons with more disabling forms of autism want it documented since it makes it easier to qualify for state support services.
