@AndyPaciorekArt @bookstodon This book has passed through my hands but I haven't read. I'll keep my eyes peeled for another copy.

📣 🚨 PSA for anyone who didn't know/realize: this is a Twilight Zone-esque anthology from the Indonesian director that made IMPETIGORE, SATAN'S SLAVES, & SATAN'S SLAVES: COMMUNION

I've watched one so far & it was entertaining with some cool imagery & creatures. But even if these wind up being uneven and lacking, you DEFINITELY should check out his movies (on ) because they are FANTASTIC

My review of Conan the Barbarian just went up at Grimdark Magazine. Jim Zub snuck in a fun homage to the 1982 movie in this issue.

(As always, boosts are appreciated!)

Stole this image from someone who stole this image, and I'm stealing the question, too:

WHAT FILM MADE YOU GO 'WTF DID I JUST WATCH'?

Off the top of my head:

Mother! definitely. Also Society, The Outwaters, Final Prayer (aka The Borderlands), Dead Alive (aka Brain Dead), Skinamarink, The Human Centipede, Infinity Pool, Antichrist, Hausu, Secretary. And I love them all.

What about you?

@stina_marie @horror Mac&Me, Fateful Findings, Heaven & Hell, FoodFight, Tough Guys Don't Dance

Midnight/cult movies are strange for a reason. The truly odd are the ones that -believe- they are commercial.

📽️ 🍿 Movies I very much enjoyed in 2023:

When Evil Lurks
Infinity Pool
Malum
Renfield
Skinamarink
The Outwaters
Attachment
Hell House LLC Origins
Cobweb
Talk To Me

*Some of these are technically 2022 but I'm counting when they came to streaming because I don't do theaters since COVID)

@LukeySixx @stina_marie @horror I just watched it 2 nights ago. Thought it was a better Evil Dead film than Rise. Still slightly preferred the directors earlier film Terrified but I loved the worldbuilding in WEL. I think that was my #4 2023 horror after Godzilla Minus One, Dream Scenario and Infinity Pool
