In this case I will take your advice and see what they say for sure. It’s been getting annoying but I can’t find a job in the area with comparable pay for my position so it’s worth a try if it means not quitting.

Well, I did get mad and read the california labour laws one night in their entirety and sadly it was within legal grounds SOMEHOW. But doesn’t surprise me either considering this new law seems to allow calls about that still, too. Which i would imagine is the main gripe people would have with out of hours contact. Fucking bullshit, man.

Holy shit i really need this. Ever since my manager quit, my supervisor has basically decided to go total anarchy and do whatever she wants. Including adding us to the schedule without saying anything then deducting points for no-show, or blowing up our phones about said situation.

same thing happened to my Samsung mixed reality headset. I’ve just said fuck vr entirely if companies are going to do this. reminds me of how Apple used to be where people would patch new fully working iOS version features onto old phones to bypass artificial obsolescence.

My TV is a dumb TV (for lack of a better name). It does have a USB port, but it only displays photos and can’t play external footage. I keep all of my downloaded media on an external HDD. I did look into the whole XBMC aka Kodi / jellyfin combo stuff for a bit.

Lost music. It was an underground artist who quit in the mid 2010s before archive culture was really a thing. I’ve had people dm me looking for it before. I keep it offline only out of respect for the author who wants to stay gone because the reason he quit a decade ago was harassment.

at the same level of importance, every time I’ve gotten a new computer or operating system since 2013 or so, I’ve backed up every single user folded (pictures, videos, documents, etc) onto an external hard drive. I have a lot of good memories there that I really do not want to lose.
