Ah so its the idiots still using non ublock

CookieManTheGreat ,

Putting all my money in buying real gold, Osmium and Gallium. Very good investment.

CookieManTheGreat ,

The Youtube thing is breaking EU rights and they are going to trial them

This shit can be avoided by DNS blocks, Revanced, ublock (Firefox)

Fuck that all.

CookieManTheGreat ,

Youtube itself, even in a completely blank Chrome browser, runs like i have 20 downloads running and simultaneously stream 4 animes its a absolute disgrace to humanity.

CookieManTheGreat ,

Proton mail is incompatible for actual security reasons. And its the best you can get.

People would put their Proton in Microsoft outlook and complain about data being leaked otherwise.

CookieManTheGreat ,
  1. They already get my money, i mail it to them cash
  2. Very based approach, they are a company and need to make money, you get a free very secure email and VPN from them, if you want the comfort features and faster stuff, you pay, its not expensive.
  3. Last time i checked the third-party applications where off altogether, if they enabled it for paying users (like me) that’s cool as well
CookieManTheGreat ,

You can get the stuff straight from Git with obtanium if you like regular updates without checking it all the time and without Google or F-Droid

Just a suggestion, i personally use it and its doing a good job.

CookieManTheGreat ,

Because its the most useful.

Linux has their own forums and the other stuff is either moderated poorly or pretty useless

Mint cinnamon (Victoria 21.2)

Very beginner friendly and has a big community, most stuff works out of the box, steam is recommended heavily as it has a build in compatibility layer (Proton) if you want to check your favorite games check out at protondb.com

Only notable thing is that MS office isn’t working on Linux unless the web app is used (wich isn’t a problem unless you are required by work/school to use it)

CookieManTheGreat ,

You can definitely do that if you are not explicitly required to use MS office. I had the problem some years ago… Used a vim with win 7 until it broke, then i forced them to lift the rule by GDPR
