Finished my 2nd #TransRightsReadathon book, Stars in Their Eyes by Jessica Walton, illustrated by Aska.
A charming graphic novel, queer, and super geeky. Maisie, (14, disabled, bi, writes fanfic) meets Ollie (15, nonbinary, draws fanart) at her first SF con and they have a wonderful day-long romance.
I really enjoyed the vicarious con experience, Maisie's relationship with her mum, and the sweetness of that instant connection. Hope we get a happy sequel someday.

Ich werde vermutlich nicht so wirklich was weg gelesen kriegen, aber die Ressourcen, die hier gesammelt sind, um TBRs zu entcissen, sind super. My first #TransRightsReadathon story was from my TBR, I'll Be Home for Christmas by Mason Deaver. It's a short follow-up to the YA romance I Wish You All the Best, in which Ben tries to surprise their boyfriend Nathan for Christmas but winds up snowed in at the airport. An affecting holiday rom-com.
Voor de #transrightsreadathon wil ik graag deze twee Nederlandse boeken van Transgender auteurs aanraden. 'Transgender in Nederland' van Alex Bakker geeft een goed beeld van de geschiedenis van trans zijn in Nederland. Heel interessant en leerzaam. Het tweede boek is 'De maakbare man' van Maxim Februari. Het boek is inmiddels 10 jaar maar dat betekent niet dat zijn inzichten en ervaringen vandaag minder relevant zijn. #boeken#lezen@boeken#trr24
