you will quickly see they have no crime, no homeless people, no addicts, and no mentally unstable children….
Er, in the indigenous communities I’ve been around, this is because there is no criminal code, anyone who can’t find a home dies of exposure, addicts exist but it’s either normalized or they become homeless (see 2), and any children who look like they may not be able to support their elders… well, see 1 and 2.
Subsistence living tends to weed out a lot of people modern society keeps alive, because in general we care for each other.
That said, part of my elementary school education was done in an indigenous format, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. But it wasn’t going to teach me how to operate and survive in today’s global society. It does mean that I could probably survive in the wilderness in a relatively comfortable way (since one of the things I learned how to do was make shelter).
