The reason ISIS hates Russia and China is because both have a long history of murdering Muslims. The reason ISIS hates Iran is because they consider followers of Shi’ite Islam to be infidels. The reason they may have “pivoted” to direct attacks at those countries is because if logistically far simpler than attacking the West, given their proximity.
