Accounts which solely post advertisements, or persistently post them may be terminated.

Most Lemmy news/politics comms have been predominantly text. AFAIK none of the lemmy.ml ones expressly prohibit videos, but some of the downvotes may be due to the fact that many of these posts are videos, and the click-baitiness of the YouTube algorithm may make it worse still.
