On one hand, the demise of an opposition party is regrettable. On the other hand, what did they think was going to happen when they came to Congress to court US support in Hong Kong against China?
That’s literally, literally sedition and treason. If a US political party was going to China to ask for support against the other US political party, they’d be strung up alive by government agencies.
