I wonder if it will go to court. It sorta seems like the artist has nothing to prove given they are already recognized as the creator. Seems like its just about determining the compensation which it sounds like what the artist asked for is a very conservative number and the company paying up. This sounds like the type of thing where the company will end up paying more because they did not accept a very reasonable offer.
