It's crazy to me that we are talking about a counter-offensive. Last year we weren't even talking about a defense at all. Way too go, Ukrainians. Give 'em hell and send back these bastards at home once and for all.

Do you have a source on that? All I saw was a Tweet which took combat-ready tanks on invasion day and seemingly ignored the many tanks which could’ve been combat-readied in the last year.

    Russia does the same thing so if I have to pick a side, I will pick the side of the victim and not the bully. All I want is these murderers out of the country and then they can fix whatever social problem they have later. Stop the fucking war first

    What's funny is Russia will never take Ukraine. They lost that war the second Ukrainians decided to fight back. The US can withstand this for centuries. Russia is already struggling for ammunition, political power, modern equipement and manpower. That's a fact nobody can deny.

    Even if by some miracle, Ukrainians decided to surrender, Russia would STILL have to let go of Ukraine. The sanctions won't magically go away just because Putin got what it wanted, no no no. Not a single fucking Russian will have a retirement until every dead ukrainians soldier's family is compensated, the country is rebuilt and Crimea given back to Ukrainians.

    You may not like it, you may cry about it all you want, the truth is that Russia lost. Get over it and tell Putin to end this right now. Until then, sorry but Russians will keep getting massacred by the thousands.

    In this context I think it’s fine. Russia has already been using cluster munitions on Ukrainians and I doubt the AFU will be as careless and cold in their use as the Ruzzians. Unexploded ordinance is a genuine concern, but the lands being fought for are already so heavily mined its almost a moot point. Just my 2¢

    Not just that. The amount of minefields that Russia put is astonishingly large and one of the main reasons of why offensive is slow. The main objection of cluster munition is that some of it does not explode and becomes essentially a mine. But it is just a small addition to the existing mine fields, so...

    Yeah, I’d obvious prefer cluster munitions not be used at all, but thanks to Russia that cat is already out of the bag and whether or not Ukraine starts using them they’re already going to have a big UXO cleanup to deal with when this is over, and since it’s their country I imagine they’ll probably be a bit more judicious in their use and it’s kind of their call to make if they want that on their plate.

    If they start making moves on Russian soil with them, that’s a little murkier ethically. There’s definitely an element of “turnabout is fair play” involved but I wouldn’t exactly have the warm-fuzzies about it.
