Zelensky urges West to let Ukraine hit Russia with long-range weapons

President Volodymyr Zelensky on Aug. 31 called on the U.S., the U.K., France, and Germany to allow Ukraine to use long-range weapons to strike targets in Russia.

“I appeal to the U.S., the U.K., France and Germany. We need the ability to genuinely and fully defend Ukraine and Ukrainians. We require both: permissions for long-range capabilities and your long-range shells and missiles,” Zelensky said in his evening address.

Yes, they are “boiling the frog”. The strategic goal of the US is not Ukraine winning, it’s Russia losing. By grinding up Russian resources month after month, the US can maximize the long-term damage to Russia by destroying their resources (e.g. money, military equipment, soldiers/workforce).

I’m so proud of you. You figured it out Charlie! See the US is tooling up to fight China. Cuz China is basically supplanting the US on virtually every front. And despite all our big shit talk about fighting the next 3 biggest threats simultaneously, we can’t do that. Not anymore. The military can’t replace soldiers cuz everyone’s too fat or too high or too generally mentally unfit to hold a weapon. All the force projection we have doesn’t mean shit without logistics to keep it operational. The very last thing GovCo wants is Russia tagging in and helping China when we make our play on Taiwan.

I saw more than I should’ve with the recent Kharkiv bombings by Russia.

Ukraine should absolutely be able to strike as far as they desire into Russia.

After all, it’s not escalation; it’s parity.
