Bolivia boosts lithium resources estimate, cementing spot as global leader

LA PAZ, Bolivia (AP) — The total of Bolivia’s confirmed lithium resources has increased 2 million tons to 23 million tons, the Andean country’s president said Thursday.

The new estimate further cements Bolivia’s position as the country with the world’s biggest known deposits of lithium, which is in high demand for use in batteries.

I wish you knew what whataboutism is. It’s literally saying China is exploitative. That’s whataboutism. The reality of the last 600 years is that white people have exploited 80% of the world population, non-stop, up to and including the most advanced form of genocide ever implemented. China is one of the few countries that are working against North Atlantic exploitation. You saying “what about China’s exploitation” is literally in the context of the full universal awareness of North Atlantic exploitation, it’s literally full blown deflection through whataboutism. Bolivia will leap at the chance to collaborate with China to avoid the hyperexploitation of the North Atlantic. No amount of your bullshit orientalism is going to change that.

American genocide is actively occuring today. The TPP attempts to reinstate the same rules of colonialism that underlied the British invasion of China. Hong Kong was only returned to China in the 1990s. How blind do you have to be to think colonialism stopped in 1423?
