This seems wayyyyy more extreme than the “usual” conservatism people like to rally around, like wanting women to do woman things and be subservient to men.

Highly recommend you watch the BBC 2 part documentary on Modi. It doesn’t cover everything Modi did before he came to power. But still should be worth a watch.
