In China, the number of people aged 60 and over will rise from 280 million to more than 400 million by 2035, the country’s National Health Commission estimates.

To respond to the rising demand for medical services amid labour shortages and the ageing population, a Shanghai-based firm, Fourier Intelligence, is developing a humanoid robot that can be deployed in healthcare facilities.

“As we move forward, the entire GR-1 could be a caregiver, could be a therapy assistant, can be a companion at home for the elderly who stay alone,” said the CEO and Co-founder of Fourier Intelligence, Zen Koh.

So, I’m all for discouraging disinformation and propaganda. China is absolutely guilty of that, and there are a lot of shills out there who deny the Uyghur genocide, violence against Hong Kong, etc. Fuck them.

This article is just about technology though, so personally I think it is fine. This kind of tech will inevitably find it’s way to other countries.

Anyway. To recap, if they are a CCP shill, ban them. If its just news about China, it should be fine.

I’m not disputing the story. I think knowing the OPs motivation for posting it is useful info.

The best propaganda is based in truth. The intent here is to promote the idea China is amazing, and that the West is rotten and corrupt through and through.
