i recently lost my job and it’s horrible being in the ‘unemployed’ class – you’re made to feel worthless, you have to take advice from people, perfectly well meaning of course, that are basically encouragement on digging your own grave - i love being in the position where i have to do some fake elizabethian courting...

Second, seemingly legit, job posting that’s contacted me after the fact to download Signal/Telegram. I’m in now way going to do it, not that dumb, just wondering if this is a new trend I’m not aware of?

I’ve seen several big chains, mostly gas stations and fast food, advertising “daily pay”. If you are worried about how you’re going to make it until your next paycheck, whether it’s tomorrow or next month, or you have no savings to cover any sort of emergency, then you live paycheck-to-paycheck....
