Not telling the prisoners their date of execution seems unreasonably cruel, especially considering that some inmates have been subsequently released/exonerated. Their reasoning of “not causing the inmate undue stress” is just incorrect, while the idea that “their victims didn’t have prior warning” is steeped in a thirst for revenge and retribution, rather than justice. That’s some Code of Hammurabi level thinking that only retards social progress.

Death penalty is always going to be a hard no for me. No one deserves to be stripped of the right to exist. Also, for some crimes, death penalty is too mild… great video non the less, learned something today, thanks for sharing it!

So… death penalty is wrong, but evil people deserve to be tortured?

I have to say, this is the most unphilosophical and internally contradictory view on this topic I’ve heard so far. Well done.

Yep, I know. I’ve tried to figure out a sound reasoning about this. I do not approve of cruel punishments. Living with the knowledge of the pain you caused is a good punishment . Death is an easy out, never said anything about torture, I don’t approve of that.
