People have no attention span. It takes real effort to condense and summarize the key points to such an audience. Once intrigued though, they may continue on to read/watch/listen/learn from other sources.

Conversely, there is just too much going on in the world right now, to pay attention to every single thing that wants us to do so. Like a crowded marketplace with each seller yelling out their wares - it is the correct decision to tune most of it out while straining to listen for what you need.

There’s also how the Supreme Court recently made a ruling that limits the ability of federal agencies to legally act without more explicit direction from congress, and gives courts more ability to scrutinize their actions.

This plan would represent a terrifying slide into totalitarianism and is something we should take steps to avoid, but I think there’s a lot going against it and reasons to be hopeful that it will fail.
