all animals are obviously way more intelligent than science gives them credit for. humans were just so callous and careless for centuries that we didn’t bother to pay them any respect. like obviously crabs feel pain when you boil them, why the fuck wouldn’t they? that’s a pretty basic evolutionary mechanism
