Freetube Keeps buffering

I was really enjoying the Freetube desktop client but lately the buffering has made it…worse than watching you tube with commercials. Does anyone know why? I understand that it maybe due to a change in youtube (ala adblockers) or a setting that I have to change, but any information or help would be greatly appreciated.
