Current phone: Never, because it doesn’t have one.

Last phone: Also never, because I had decent Bluetooth headphones.

Phone before that: All the time, but broke several sets of earbuds from snagging on things and getting frayed.

Genuinely can’t be arsed to wear a piece of wire down my clothes like I’m a small child with some fucking mittens on a string. Could not give two fucks about the 3.5mm jack dying out.

pewgar_seemsimandroid ,

it’s the olny way i can use headphones right now since I don’t have wireless headphones

hakunawazo ,

I use it to collect sand and little stones in my device.
But also to have a backup if my bluetooth in-ears get low on battery or i need to plug the phone to my old school amplifier.

ammonium ,

I stopped using it because my cables got always damaged after a few weeks/months of usage. With a (big) phone in my pocket it’s just not possible for me to put no stress on the jack.

I actually stopped listening music on the road for a few years after that until I started using Bluetooth headphones/in ears. Now I wouldn’t go back to cable even if it didn’t break down so fast.

doggle ,

I don’t have one. When I did I used it every day.

Now I have a stupid dongle which I use nearly every day.

SakuraTribeScout ,

I’ve got the exact same situation!

Currently never, but that’s because i dont go out much. If I went out more, even just for jogging. I would be extremely frustrated that my current phone doesn’t have a jack. Currently I have to have to so everyone around me can hear my phone as I don’t have a converted or a wireless headphone.

I thought I’d miss not having a headphone jack but I don’t. I don’t miss getting the wires caught on things and yanking out of my ears.

People will always be very vocal about things like this but I’d bet the vast majority of people don’t care. It’s a bit like smaller phones, I’m firmly in the “I need a smaller phone” camp but it seems like the market doesn’t want one and most people prefer the big phones we have today.

ASeriesOfPoorChoices ,

Two of my headphones are wired.

They’re both usb-c.

This isn’t a wired/wireless issue. You can not have a 3.5mm audio jack on your phone and still use wired headphones without an adapter because usb-c headphones exist.

You can talk about quality differences and such, but that isn’t the same as wired vs wireless being the only two options.

Every day, for msny hours

DerisionConsulting ,

When my phone lost the headphone jack, I just stopped listening to music outside of my home.

I honestly prefer walks now.

Never. Bluetooth headphones and connectivity in the car.

Ilflish ,

A very simple I used it all the time until I got wireless earphones. It’s bizarre to think people just forget that headphones can be expensive so people still have wired ones

sailingbythelee ,

Here you go, wired headphone problem solved.

USB C to 3.5mm Jack: a.co/d/hgfC312

Reaper948 ,

I have never once used the audio jack on a phone, Bluetooth is just much more convenient for me and has never caused me any issues.
