I think the point was to show how bright the Oled screens got.

So bright, in fact, we wondered if we could use actual Steam Deck OLEDs as the only light sources to light our launch trailer.

I assumed it was a render when I saw the ad, but it’s really cool that it was shot practically. That in and if itself is also an ad for the OLED Deck.

I’m really happy with mine. I rarely use it above half brightness, either; it’s very bright.
