While the numbers themselves are just a small fraction of actual usage (as I guess most people using it don’t do it thru steam), it doubled in about a week.
What would be an “educated” guess of steam/non-steam users ratio? 1:50? 1:100?
I’ve been waiting for defenders quest 2 for the better part of 7 years now! Very excited it’s getting closer.
Monaco 2 is looking much more large scale of a game than the first one, but the first one was such stupid fun multiple, I feel like it’ll be gta2 to gta2 upgrade in gameplay and graphics.
Streets of rogue 2 is coming, that was a fun one.
I’m also excited for book of aliens, book of demons was in no way original but a great parody game with original styling and good humor. I’m curious to see how the developers do an rts/StarCraft style genre, their diablo was on point.
Split signal is hopefully anothe very simple to play puzzle games from one of my favorite 2 minute play time window games lyne.
But far and away the one I’m most looking forward to is defenders quest 2.
That’s pretty much what remaster is.
It comes from music industry where remastering is just mixing audio channels with different settings.
Besides, Lara’s boobs are round now, that’s probably the main thing they wanted to update, lol.
I thought they officially announced Half-Life 3 was dead a few years ago. They released the game’s script online so fans could get some sort of conclusion.
I’m not even finished Alyx, I started again when I got my new build done and I went from an 8/10-10/10 and I haven’t even finished it yet. I played HL2VR mod immediately prior and it has completely changed the way I view the whole series.
Yeah it took me literally years to complete it and then suddenly got on a roll and finished it in one week. On completion I don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner. It was a fantastic journey.
As of 11:55am EST today, my account still hasn’t turned 20, so I’m guessing they actually store the exact hour/minute/second that you signed up for your account too. I think I used to get home from school around 2:45pm, so I gotta keep checking.
Thx, Apparently I signed up way later in the day than I thought! I gotta wait until 11pm, lol - damn it, I wanted to show off my 20yr badge in a screenshot today. :D
Yeah… as years go I keep thinking about this. Not sure if he has any real thought plan or something for somebody he trusts… I mean he has kids but not sure about them wanting anything to do with it, or him wanting to give it to them, no idea.
Honestly portal 2 was less interesting then portal 1. It was very meme heavy. It also became focused on running for your life instead of a puzzle game with a mystery. I’d rather see a new IP that isn’t a card game.
I like portal 1 quite a bit more than portal 2. Portal 1 felt like this dark mystery with occasional bits of humor. It felt very connected to Half Life, not necessarily in story, but definitely in atmosphere. Portal 2 was missing a lot of that. It oddly felt less lonely than Portal 1, and was missing a lot of that Half Life atmosphere.
Additionally I love the implications that Portal 1 has if you play Half Life. Outside is absolute hell, and you don’t know if you’d rather be outside the facility or inside it.
My account turns 20 on the 14th, and I can't help but think about the fact that games like Half-Life and Counter-Strike that I bought once 20 years ago are still so easy to play and enjoy today. Steam really set the model for how digital media sales should be done.
Contrast to that was trying to play StarCraft again and even though I own I don’t have a CD drive anymore. I’d have to buy another copy to even play again.
Actually if you have/create a battle net account, you can register your CD key to your account, and then they have a downloadable installer for starcraft and Diablo. 2, and other old games.
