I’m just now watching Discovery. I just have to rant. Consider this a spoiler warning if you haven’t seen it....

I’m a huge fan of comic books and deep space nine I saw that two new comic series came out “star trek defiant” and “star trek dog of war” the series are quite expensive for someone who doesn’t have a lot of money, I just wanna ask those of you who’ve read em are they worth picking up?

The USS Locherer, a Merian-class starship, was first seen in DIS: “Jinaal”. It is named after the late JP Locherer, who was a cinematographer on DIS before he passed in 2022....

Trill has a surface area of 500 million km^2, which is similar to Earth (501 million km^2). Other data include an orbital distance of 1.215 AU, a year of 483 sols, a surface temperature of 297 Kelvin (23.85 C) and 1 satellite....

It is Stardate 866274.3, which places it, by TNG reckoning, in 3189. However, as I’ve noted before, this is an impossibility, since Burnham arrived in the 32nd Century in 3188, then spent a year before reuniting with Discovery (3189), then months passed between Seasons 3 and 4, and also between Seasons 4 and 5 so at a minimum...

Summaries of the various panels from Trek Talks 3 are circulating, so it might be easiest to compile them all in one thread. I’ll get it started, but feel free to drop any that I missed in the comments....

I’m probably going to PlanetComicon in KC because some of my friends are going, and I noticed a couple of celebrities have been involved in Trek comics!...

We were talking about what famous people we shared a birthday with. She told me she already knew about Bill Clinton, so I looked up a list and learned for the first time that Gene Roddenberry was born on August 19th....

The title may allude to a line of dialogue from LD’s first episode, “Second Contact”, where Mariner says she was once trapped in a sentient cave for weeks: “You ever been trapped in a sentient cave? That’s a dark place that knows things.”...

I just saw the latest LD episode 6: Parth Ferengi’s Heart Place. The poking fun on modern capitalism was one point....

The Stardate is 58795.1....

Mind you I haven’t skipped anything so far.

I think this episode is part one of the holonovel followed by the second part during the second half. The only break we take from seeing the holonovel be played is when they tell captain Janeway (where she implies that she has to be made to look good) about the first half and when Tom and Tuvok are in the mess hall being hassled...
