No conspiracy necessary. A business is supposed to make money, and do whatever will be the most profitable for them. This is their primary reason to exist.
So, if destroying competitors would help them do this, then they should destroy their competitors. The only reason for them to do anything else is if we made and enforced laws that stopped them.
They are supposed to follow the law though. Not just some vague idea of “what’s right”.
