There have been multiple accounts created with the sole purpose of posting advertisement posts or replies containing unsolicited advertising.
Accounts which solely post advertisements, or persistently post them may be terminated.
apigban , 11 months ago Depends on what kind of service the malicious requests are hitting. Fail2ban can be used for a wide range of services. I don’t have a public facing service (except for a honeypot), but I’ve used fail2ban before on public ssh/webauth/openvpn endpoint. For a blog, you might be well served by a WAF, I’ve used modsec before, not sure if there’s anything that’s newer.
