Hey all,...
Sorry for the wall of text… This ended up a lot longer than I thought it would…...
Im looking for some form of self hosted application, ideally dockerized(able), that can connect to and manage an existing database (Im not picky on the DB type, Postgres prolly best though)....
I want to mount some B2 buckets on Linux for read/write access. What do people recommend?...
Hope this is a proper sub for asking this....
I have NextCloud installed via Ubuntu Snap. But I want to take the docker route instead. Every “how to” only shows how to set it up with reverse proxy configuration. I need to be able to do this without it. Any help?...
Curious if anyone tried self hosting it yet....
Through the efforts of @dandroid, the lemmy-safety tool can now run via docker, which should help you run it without having to mess with python on your end....
Multiple people have been asking about it, so the support for self-hosting using docker is added....
This is not strictly self-hosted but another approach I which is similar in philosophy, and which I actually prefer in many cases: hosted services....
TLDR; looking to combine Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q with a Mellanox dual 10Gbps SFP+ PCIe card to create my dream homelab router/firewall...
So I have a webserver running nginx, and I want to use it as a reverse proxy to access web applications running elsewhere. I know this is a pretty standard use case, and that the traditional approach is to use virtual hosts to proxy the different apps....
All the times I just put docker-compose.yml to one user (my user) directory and call it a day....
Thought I would let you all know in case you have missed it. A few days ago Postgres support was finally merged into Sonarr dev branch (meaning 4.x version). I have already transitioned to it, so far it runs without issue...
I currently run a Lenovo minipc and an rpi4 to host all of my homelab services, and I just purchased a new minipc with an 11th Gen i5 in order to better handle Plex and transcoding. I would also like to add Immich to my homelab. Here is a breakdown of my current state:...
I’m looking to offload all my media from my main PC and make it accessible to other devices in my house. It’s likely to only be a few TB, probably 2 drives at most....
Is anybody aware of any self hosted alternatives to Parrot.ai or Otter.ai? I’ve tried these services and I’m finding them very useful, but the price tag is a little steep. It seems like something that the open source community could solve. Anybody know of any projects, either existing or upcoming? Thanks!
Hey there,...
I was reading this guide on how to run a snowflake proxy, and I’m considering doing it....
I’m wondering what the best (cheap) option is to have as much storage as possible. I have two DL380 g7 servers with one running lemmy, npm, wireguard and busy getting nextcloud and jellyfin installed. The other one is to run a Proxmox cluster. Just for fun tbh. Amd if needed spare parts. I only have a few tb of storage....
Hello fellow self-hosters,...
Note: I am not affiliated with this project in any way. I think it’s a very promising alternative to things like MinIO and deserves more attention.
I’m curious what people are using to monitor their backups? I have Borg running on a cronjob, but checking logs periodically is getting tedious, so I’d like to automate that if possible
TL;DR: How do you sort your books for your book server?...
I’m thinking of picking up an old HP Microserver (gen8) and was wondering if it is a bad idea from a security standpoint....
