Is anyone selfhosting kavita?
I’m giving it a try after failing to set something simple for a book collection (mostly epub). Interested in knowing other people take on this tool.

Hey, I recently saw a comment on where to buy server hardware (mainly hard drives) sadly I forgot about the URL and didn’t save it. What are you guys favourite places to buy these kind of things? :D...
After Google’s announcement to kill the domain registrar service, I would like to transfer my domain to another provider. I use Cloudflare for nameservers and their services, but they don’t support transferring my .in domain Do you have any suggestions on an honest provider, possibly in Europe?
For a couple of years, I have been serving Plex to a few friends and family from an NVIDIA Shield Pro on a gigabit fiber. Before that, I served from a Raspberry Pi....
I’ve done god only knows how many searches looking for a solution to this with no joy so any help you can offer would be great....
I’d love to find a selfhosted voice assistant to use on my phone, computer, etc. iOS compatibility is a plus. Does anyone know of anything out there that could fit the bill?
Has anyone noticed that oracle keeps changing the idle requirements for compute instances?...
Hi, I am looking for a SBC to self host stuff on. I would like it to be somewhat open hardware (manufacturer provides schematics and drivers are open source). Which is why I initially wanted to buy a banana-pi router but after reading a post in this /c/ I found that mainline linux support is fairly rare in these arm/riscv SBCs....
I’m running Docker on Ubuntu server; around 50 containers running, most admin via Portainer. Configuration files and small databases for container applications are stored on the local SSD, media and larger files are stored on a NAS....
I host some services and now start to slowly let family and friends use some of those services. for myself i have a dashboard (Heimdall, just because it worked nicely first try and I didn’t bother looking at others) and I want to also have one for other users. Now I imagine something like that:...

I’m having trouble deciding which software platform fits my hardware. This is not a standard “what’s the best” type of post, as ultimately they will all run containers so it’s more “I have this stuff, what would you do in my situation?”....
After exporting my photos for migration to Synology, Google gave me 95 2GB zip files to download. I tried downloading directly into my mapped network drive, but the speed was super slow. My tip for you is if you are familiar with docker, you can spin up a Firefox container and map your desired network drive to the container. If...
I’ve only ever had my domain registered via Google Domains (~7 years), mostly because it was cheap+convenient, and google already had my billing info. Google has however sold its domain registration services to SquareSpace and will soon be transitioning customers there....
I have a server configuration to what i though would be best, and that is running a Debian, then installing a service i most frequently use, and use containers for other services. But, now i think that’s not a good solution and i’m looking for advice....
I set up a new home server recently using containerized services, and I wanted to share what I learned. Nothing here is revolutionary, but this is the type of resource I wish I had when I started....
I currently use Nextcloud and Immich, Nextcloud on iOS is garbage though, it can’t auto upload files if they are too big, even with the application open....

I would like to introduce a reverse proxy which I really like to use and maybe you will like it too 😊...
I’m using DuckDNS currently, but am hoping to up my game with Caddy etc and want my own domain with more than the 5 subdomains. Any recommendations for providers?
It has an ‘App store’ that’s been growing a lot lately. Writing new docker-compose.yaml files is easy (see: www.runtipi.io/docs/…/adding-a-new-app ), and exposing them behind NAT, e.g. from home it’s easy too (see: runtipi.io/…/expose-apps-with-cloudflare-tunnels )… But my favorite perk is the folder structure...
Hello all, you all seem to be well versed in this stuff and I can’t seem to find many ai or chatbot communities at all. Anyway, I’ve just been using the free, outdated gpt3.5 on the openai site and it really opened my eyes to how useful of a tool it is. I mean it helps me with everything, especially computer related and...
I’m very tired of SMS being horrible and necessary. Matrix has a bridge for SMS, but it doesn’t work very well. There’s other SMS bridges, no idea how well they work....
