I know most of this is common knowledge for most Sega nerds like myself but this was a really interesting write up. I can only dream what could have been if Sega made different decisions back then.

I'm always seeing "first CD-ROM game" citations that are totally inconsistent, or which cite games like Myst, so I decided to put together a timeline of all the candidates - and ended up calling into question the point of "firsts" lists in the first place....
Is it the age of the game? Is it the generation of the console you play on? Is it a combination of the two?...
I have only played with it for a few minutes as I am about to start work. But it seems really great so far. I need to look into the control scheme to learn some of the controls, but it was not difficult to figure out....
I just started Earthbound and am having a good time with it using RetroArch. Also enjoy playing some Gameboy tetris on the train....
