I hope Reddit learns from there mistakes but probably not they are for the bottom dollar and will listen to investors before they listen to the community that made them who they are today . All it costed us was our time and volunteering. RIP Reddit

hey there wondering if it doesn’t already exist if we could create a a parallel community here for r/mods to coordinate on? i suspect that Spez or spezbots are all over the r/ and thought maybe they could use a space that’s w i’d untouchable by tptb?

I think it’s time for me to come clean about this. I kinda became addicted to Reddit, but most importantly, reddit stories. It became part of my routine to listen to podcasts that read reddit stories. NGL it’s really enjoyable, but there is always some people that debates if the stories are true....
Verge interviewed the maker of Relay for Reddit and says he might survive on a subscription only model of $2-3 USD per month. Lots of limitations inherent in that, but maybe....
let’s do some good. Upvote everything from r/Ukraine so hopefully the front page is covered with Ukraine posts!
As you know, part of the protest includes us users not accessing Reddit at all....
Apparently Lemmy copied the new reddit layout which shoves everything into the middle of the screen and wastes a massive amount of space. Even on the monitor I oriented vertically this is the case: the post I’m typing right now is using like 30% of the available screen real-estate and wasting the other 2/3rds....
I’m a bit confused with my options here. I am looking at Reddit alternatives and see a lot of people flocking to lemmy but it seemed like kbin was the more centrist option?...
It’s amazing to see how many communities are joining in on the blackout. It’s also sad as fuck all....
