I think it’s time for me to come clean about this. I kinda became addicted to Reddit, but most importantly, reddit stories. It became part of my routine to listen to podcasts that read reddit stories. NGL it’s really enjoyable, but there is always some people that debates if the stories are true....
It’s amazing to see how many communities are joining in on the blackout. It’s also sad as fuck all....
Though Reddit’s leadership claims to be ‘leaning into its humanity,’ it seems the company is more committed to leaving humanity in the dark....
Thanks to reddit becoming such a shitshow, it pushed so many people to lemmy. I know all this has existed for a while now, but with all the users now its really wonderful. Also many people likely wouldn’t have known to come here if they weren’t leaving reddit first....

Although all official sources say, that they don’t offer refunds for Premium, I tried to get at least a part of the 50$ (yearly membership; last renewal in Feb 2023) back. To my surprise, they’ve actually refunded me the full...
This might be the dumbest shit I’ve ever said, but seems like a valid way to solve the bot problem? Definitely no existing coin or anything like that, but I feel like place is one of those things where if you could solve the logistical problems, it could easily become a staple of the internet with a long rich lore.
I was considering deleting my account and just wanted to take stock of my post history and pm history....
Just thought it was funny that looking back I’ve used Reddit for over 10 years and I never actually paid them a dime. I feel really good about donating so much money monthly here, though, because I have so much hope for this place and a brighter future for us all in the fediverse. So glad to have a place ready to catch me when...
I wasn’t expecting it to work, but I didn’t uninstall the app just in case Reddit backtracks or something. I checked and my front-page loads like normal. Does that mean that Reddit gave up? I didn’t pay infinity at all…
