This seems like a CYA by Intel. They’re saying that there was a manufacturing issue causing oxidation, by that’s not why their CPUs were failing. That was caused by a voltage issue that can be patched, but the bricked CPUs will be refunded/replaced. Like, why admit to two separate issues being present in your gateway, as a manufacturer, unless it’s to mitigate the blowback from one issue in the first place. I don’t buy it.

As long as there is an even number of fuckups, they cancel each other out and Intel doesn’t have to refund anyone you see!

Can’t patch cpu corrosion. They are going to have to address that.
