This seems like a CYA by Intel. They’re saying that there was a manufacturing issue causing oxidation, by that’s not why their CPUs were failing. That was caused by a voltage issue that can be patched, but the bricked CPUs will be refunded/replaced. Like, why admit to two separate issues being present in your gateway, as a manufacturer, unless it’s to mitigate the blowback from one issue in the first place. I don’t buy it.
