Alas, the live service, bane of the patient gamer....
I picked up a Vita recently. So far, Gravity Rush is the only game that I definitely want to play. Any other recommendations? I’m pretty open with genres, as long as it’s something with a story.
Mirror’s Edge - This is a game I’ve been meaning to play for some time. A few years back I played the first couple of levels on a friend’s PS3 and recalled it being a fun experience. So when it went on sale for under £2 on Steam I couldn’t say no. It holds up exceptionally well for a game from 2008! The stylised...
So two-part question here:...

A friend of mine was a gamer many years ago but hasn’t been gaming in a while. They run a Mac and I run a PC. What are some good patient games we can play together?
This game is about to be 4 years old but i finally got around to playing it. I am floored by this game, i couldn’t put it down. I love the new combat style, the cut scenes are great how they just roll straight from the gameplay and back. The music, holy shit, the music. Every track is a banger and makes the fights and story...
What do you guys use? I personally like Glitchwave for it’s powerful chart building and the user reviews as a whole tend to align with my own....
It’s kind of sad that one of the greatest video game series is on hold for now....
Top 10-25 games articles are all the same and obvious. Are there some less known or even obscure games, including bad-that-it’s-good ones, we can have fun with? What’s your experience with them? Bonus points if you played via an emulator.
I decided to try this game, almost 4 years after the PC release and 5 years after the PS release. To me it felt like this game got released a year ago, truly a patient gamer....
I really enjoy time loop games where the player can explore and there’s a story, and isn’t just a puzzle game. I played Outer Wilds a few years ago and I loved everything about it, it’s my favorite in the genre....
Ico is lesser known/underrated because it’s the spitirual “prequel” to shadow of the colossus. The game first released on PS2, but you can play it on PS3 from The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection which is a HD version of both games on a single disc....
TL;DR This game is awesome and you should consider playing it if you haven’t and you like retro games from this era or if you like similar collectathon games....
I was writing this out on my local !letstalkaboutgames and realised I was basically making a patient gamers post, so here’s a copy and paste:...
I know we’re already in February, but what are you looking forward to playing this year?...
I know this isn’t strictly related to patient gaming, but I think it fits the ethos of this community and I can’t think of a better choir to preach to....
I have a huge backlog of free giveaway games, because I have less time for playing than I think I do and because I never know if I’ll be able to play a game or if it’ll be too visually challenging - my username is both literal and relevant....
Lost Odyssey is a JRPG that started as a collaboration between Final Fantasy grandfather Hironobu Sakaguchi’s independent studio Mistwalker and Microsoft for the Xbox 360. With a script written by Sakaguchi himself, it’s a by-the-numbers entry in the genre but with an inspired idea to insert a collection of short stories...
I played Resident Evil when I was a child on the starting on the PS1 with Resident Evil 3. I fell in love with this series and played all the games....
I want to tell you about an often overlooked game that I really enjoyed my time with....
This game has a pretty interesting premise with a story centered around cults and the Cthulhu legend. I don’t know much about either so I was intrigued and since I received this game in a bundle some time ago, I wanted to give it a shot. The game is narratively focused so I’ll talk mostly about theme, art, and story as I go....
It’s a bitter sweet feeling afterward, but I love it when a game has characters where, after the game is over, I miss seeing a part of their lives. Be it due to the characters themselves or the interaction they have with one another, exiting their world feels more like a loss than when normally putting a story away....
So this isn’t directly related to patientgaming but my hardware and personal tastes kind of filter me to playing games no newer than five years old....
