There have been multiple accounts created with the sole purpose of posting advertisement posts or replies containing unsolicited advertising.

Accounts which solely post advertisements, or persistently post them may be terminated.

Is there a better way to hide posts other than voting or showing comments?

Right now, if I want to hide a post, I do one of two things: I either upvote the post (because I feel guilty downvoting just for hiding it) or click on the comments, forcing loading more data, even if I don’t care for the comments of a meme picture, for instance.

In both cases I have to refresh the whole front page, putting even more unnecessary load on the server. Reddit third party Apps used to have a simple hide function that would solve the issue.

Is this unwanted to kind of force participation? I don’t want to up- or downvote posts I feel indifferent about.

I’d like to have the option to hide the post, just that would be great.

Commenting for visibility. I’d love to know if this has a solution.
