There have been multiple accounts created with the sole purpose of posting advertisement posts or replies containing unsolicited advertising.

Accounts which solely post advertisements, or persistently post them may be terminated.

I tried it. If I unselect all the languages, I still see posts. If I select only some random language an no others, it automatically selects “Undetermined” for me. I don’t seem to be able to hide posts without a language set.

This is on Lemmy 0.19.5, so if your server is on an earlier version it could be different. You could give it a test and see?
