Every time I browse lemmyverse.net, I see one of the top instances in terms of registered users is enterprise.lemmy.ml. Right now it has 54.2k users, putting it behind lemmy.world and ahead of lemmy.ml. However, if I go there, there’s almost no content, even on All (which implies it’s not federated). Is it a test instance...

Why are some modern tvs' audiovideo settings still sliders/incremental without an option for exact number input?

This is something on tvs and even PC monitors/speakers that’s left me a little confused. Sliders/incremental input are okay for basic settings adjustments, but if you know exactly what you want your settings at…Why isn’t there a direct number input option on more devices?...

How can I get better at remembering names in video games?

I’m playing Cyberpunk 2077 and keep forgetting names. The database section helps but it can be tedious going back and forth when I’m reading emails and notes to see what is relevant. This isn’t just limited to Cyberpunk though. I feel like I run into this a lot with games. Any tips for getting names to stick?

Have you noticed spotify removing stuff from your liked songs list?

For a few months now while listening to spotify I’ve noticed a song will come up and I’ll think “I thought I already ‘liked’ this song?” But wasn’t positive because sometimes there are multiple issues of the same album (anniversary, remixes etc) so maybe I had liked a different version or something....

Why does DRM consume vast system resources even though we have TPM, Pluton, etc.

I’ve seen many instances of some software having DRM that significantly degrades the performance of the software, or worse, the performance of the entire OS due to heavy background tasks. Prime examples include Denuvo and all those Adobe background processes. Why can’t they just simply use the TPM or the other 5 security...
