Pretty much what the title says. I’m likely going to graduate after a few extra summer classes, and I’m trying to figure out how graduation will work. Is it University-specific? Or is there a general rule of thumb? I have a baby on the way and I’d like to start my career asap just to help take care of him.
The fire alarm system at my house is handled entirely by our property manager as it is semi-attached housing, so we have a centralised fire panel for all the houses. We only have two hockey puck shaped sensors on the ceiling of our house, one on each floor, and that’s it in terms of safety sensors. We have gas fired appliances...
Ok so imagine I’m on instance A, which is federated with instance B but defederated with instance C. Can people from instance C see a post I make on instance B and vice-versa?

The big package transport companies(in the US this is UPS and FedEx) make most of their air cargo money on overnight packages, where the business model is pretty straightforward. Have packages fly between a small number of hubs...
When I search up a community in, for example, lemmy.world and lemmy.ml, the subscriber counts differ from each other. Are the subscriber counts of communities viewed from a instance only valid for that instance?
I am currently running Fedora 38 on an old Intel Mac Mini. It’s time to upgrade to a new computer. I’d like to keep the hard drive (SSD) and just put it into the new machine. To do this, would I have to stick with intel for my new machine or would it also be possible to put the SSD into an AMD machine and have everything...
Hello c/NSQ! As you may have noticed from the fancy “A” next to his name on his posts around Lemmy, our fearless leader AvaddonLFC is now an Administrator, which means he can no longer be part of our moderation team. I have agreed to take over his communities because I believe in what we’ve all been building together as a...
