Sarcasm is no fun if everyone get’s it and I genuinely hate /s tbh. It kinda established that you’re always serious when you don’t use it and deserves to die.
A year ago I made a sarcastic comment which most people understood as such, except one other commenter. I took the opportunity to make the most heavy handed sarcastic response I could where I said democrats should vote for SpongeBob and we should all be more like him because he’s a hard worker.
Apparently that was the comment that needed the /s.
The real problem, in my opinion, is that when there’s so much toxicity in a network that people need the /s, the network isn’t capable of handling sarcasm anymore. At that point hate has won.
It’s hard to keep up, but I try to read like everyone is having a good time. Like hanging out with my friends. It’s a lot easier to not get heated about comments and just enjoy things. Because it can absolutely be easy to get drawn into the toxicity.
Reddit turned into nothing but toxic and “actually” replies to even the simplistic of things. And that /s was everywhere. So yeah I think you’re absolutely right.
I’m the kind of person thats comfortable with scrolling past hardcore porn on a crowded bus. I’m not a religious man, it’s just nature taking it’s course.
In the city worst things than that have happened and no one bats an eye. I’ve seen a homeless man wash his junk in the quick trip sink. I’ve seen a crate of homemade molotov cocktails just setting on the front porch. I’ve witnessed someone pull a gun out on someone else just for honking in traffic.
Nah, dont worry about it, its no problem. Just pointed out that i thought it was kinda random. If yah wanna keep talking then i can hear ya. Cities can be kinda wild sometimes. The one im at right now has had wild shit happened like bombings on multiple gas stations in the same day. A bridge was taken by the river with people on it and i once took a buss and it ran over a biker in a motorcicle.
I’ve tried firefox but there’s one main issue that I haven’t been able to find a way around. I have a macbook from work and am able to switch between full screen applications with control+left/right arrows or swipe gestures which I use all the time. When I open Firefox in full screen, it seems to lock itself as the full screen application. Anyone know if there’s a way to prevent that? It’s really annoying and just messes with my entire workflow. It’s literally the only reason I haven’t made the switch yet.
I remember Christmas day getting a ps1 pulling out the cables and realizing that my tv didn’t have the right ports and had to wait a couple of days to play it since the stores where closed and I couldn’t buy one of those cables that connected to where the cable tv goes . Then getting stuck at the first section of tomb raider 2 for the next couple of days …
