I Don’t just look at the blue line, you gotta look at the upcoming direction too. A basic understanding of the next roadname you’re turning on to/highway exit is all you need. Then just add the screen to any point in your rotation of rear mirror > left side mirror > rear mirror > right side mirror > front windshield [EVERYONE SHOULD BE DOING THIS ANYWAY] and you’re good to go.
I feel like the voice prompts are especially unhelpful if I am unfamiliar with the roads. Looking at the map shows me the next one or two turns at a glance and also shows me which lanes I need to take.
during the great depression, squirrels nearly went extinct in many cities because poor people were eating them. i wonder if ducks had similar experiences.
Nothing will compare to last week when I was listening to a podcast in the car. The GPS will pause podcasts instead of turning down the volume. So I heard “well, this looks like a MUR - turn right on baker st - DER!”. I bust out laughing all by myself in the car.
i genuinely have a pc with a 30 cm fan from a welder bolted to a hole in the side of the case, it runs at 240v and it’s one of the loudest things i own, but at least i passed from being continuously thermal throttling to running at a reasonable temperature…
My locals get dog food and healthy scraps. If I see a pregnant Jill or one with a passal, I try to up the scraps a bit just in case they need the boost. Have also trapped a couple to take them to rehab for medical care when there was something very obviously wrong.
EDIT: Don’t be looking at the cat food. They get tossed Purina Complete Dog Food. It’s what the rehab I volunteer at prefers for patients due to the mineral and vitamin balance, so I keep a small bag at home.
Let’s do the math. Let’s name the points A B C D, where A and D are separated by 6 feef, and all other point pairs by 6 feet. There fore, ABC and BCD are equilateral triangles of side length 6 feet. This leaves two possibilities for the distance between A and D: either they are the same point, or their distance is twice the height of an equilateral triangle with 6 feet side. Since A and D are clearly distinct, we’ll go with the latter. That makes the distance AD to be equal to 6 feet times the square root of three, giving a value of sqrt(3) feet for one feef.
Or you’re driving a Chevy colorado/GMC Canyon and that light basically just means the engine is running, because it’s been on since the truck had 45k miles and replacing the parts so that the little princess ECU will stop setting codes over a 0.001 deviation from the norm is just a waste of time.
