Fire in a skyscraper is a huge issue.

Debris from tower 2 started a fire in tower 7.

And as anyone who works with steel can tell you, you don't need to get it that hot before it bends like a limp noodle. A blacksmith can forge with a wood fire as long as it's built up enough and has good air flow.

Broken windows and flaming debris made for the perfect setup for an uncontrollable fire.
