GitHub - mWalrus/reps: A small wrapper script to launch gpu-screen-recorder alongside Steam games to save replays.

Hi! I recently came across gpu-screen-recorder when I was looking for something Nvidia ShadowPlay-esque for Linux and tried it out.

It worked great but the issue was that I had to manually both run the screen recorder and bind the keys I wanted for controlling the screen recorder before I launched the game, every time. And this resulted in me forgetting to do so most of the time… so I created this little helper script to make the process easier! :)

This script was made to work on X so if you’re on wayland, please read the last section in the README :)

WhatASave ,

Oh wow I can’t wait to check this out. I also just came across gpu-screen-recorder and it should come with scripts that you can set to run on system startup. Then setup a keybinding in system settings for your start/stop and save functions (keybinds to run the scripts).

I had trouble doing that so I’m excited I just stumbled across this!
