[Tech Support] Black Ops 3 - Safe Mode error and Black Screen

I had an issue with Manjaro a little while back and recently switched over to EndeavourOS. However, I noticed that when I installed and tried to run Black Ops III to play some zombies with a friend, I encounter a screen informing me that something went wrong since last launch and I should consider running the game in safe mode. Regardless of what I choose, I get a solid black screen. Game is installed on a 4TB hard drive in EXT4, not NTFS which was the cause of my last issue with this game.I tried a variety of launch options and proton versions, all to no avail. I was thinking it may be an issue regarding my drivers or something, but I reinstalled those with no issue, plus other games work fine. But I have had this game working before, so I am truly confused.

UnPassive ,

Have you tried other proton versions? I think I use a glorious eggroll custom proton for bo3. I think something to do with videos not playing

Moonstar OP ,

I have tried proton 6, 7, 8, experiment, and all GE versions from 6.21 onwards.

azvasKvklenko ,

Do other games work and render properly using Vulkan? Make sure nvidia-utils (extra) and lib32-nvidia-utils (multilib) are installed.

Have you maybe tried to rename/remove the entire game directory from compatdata (especially the Wine prefix) and let it reinstall?
