I don’t know how common it is, but one motivating reason I bought mine was because it had 2 removable battery bays.

Old thinkpads would actually let you replace the dvd-rom with another battery. Many thinkpads would have internal and removable batteries too though not sure how present this is in contemporary models.

Maybe look at contributing them to the ploybar-scripts repo so other people can discover them more easily.
