Guenther_Amanita , 10 months ago I’m a huge fan of Silverblue, but VanillaOS still looks pretty promising. It doesn’t have much unique to offer imo, but it seems to be “the next Mint” in how I see it. It has a similar philosophy (user friendliness and reliability), but kind of a different implementation. Mint tries to archive that by looking similar to Windows UI-wise and being “stable” (in terms of a conservative release cycle). VOS archieves that by looking simplistic (appealing to younger folks like myself) and being immutable + self managing. Both are valid, but the key difference is that Mint is “old fashioned”, while VOS tries to use new technologies for it’s goals.
